Terms of sale

The plain-English terms that apply when you buy from us. Last updated November 2026.

1. Who we are

Mata Sagrada E-mail: hello@matasagrada.com

2. Who can buy

We sell to adults aged 18 or over with a delivery address in the Republic of Ireland. By placing an order you confirm you are 18 or over. We may ask for proof of age and cancel an order if we can't confirm it.

3. Our products

Our products are sold for traditional and ceremonial use. We make no claim that any product diagnoses, treats, cures or prevents any condition. Hand-made items vary slightly in size, colour and grain; photographs are representative.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are in euro and include VAT where applicable. Delivery is shown before you pay. Payment is taken when you place your order and is processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details. If a price is shown in clear error, we'll contact you before dispatching and you may cancel for a full refund.

5. Your order

Your order is accepted when you receive our order confirmation e-mail. If an item turns out to be unavailable, we'll tell you and refund it in full.

6. Delivery

We aim to dispatch within 1–2 working days and deliver within 30 days at the latest. Risk passes to you when the parcel is delivered. See shipping & returns for details.

7. Your right to cancel (14 days)

Under EU and Irish consumer law (Consumer Rights Act 2022) you can cancel your order within 14 days without giving any reason.

  • Physical goods: the 14 days start the day you, or someone you name (not the carrier), receive the goods. If your order arrives in several parcels, they start when you receive the last one.
  • Online course: the 14 days start the day you buy it — see the exception below once you start it.

How to cancel. Tell us clearly before the 14 days end — e-mail us or use the contact form. You can use the model form below, but you don't have to. It's enough to send your message before the deadline.

Refund. We refund everything you paid, including standard delivery, within 14 days of hearing from you, to the payment method you used, at no charge. For goods we may wait until we receive them back or you show proof you sent them, whichever is sooner.

Sending goods back. Send them back within 14 days of telling us. You pay the cost of returning them, unless they arrived damaged or weren't what you ordered. You're responsible for any loss in value caused by handling them beyond what's needed to check what they are, as you would in a shop.

When the right to cancel doesn't apply:

  • Sealed goods unsealed after delivery that can't be returned for health-protection or hygiene reasons — rapé tins, sage, palo santo and incense once their seal is broken.
  • Digital content (the online course) once you have started it. At checkout we only give you immediate access if you explicitly ask for it and confirm that you understand you lose the right to cancel once you start. We confirm this in your order e-mail. Until you start the course, you can still cancel for a full refund.

8. Faulty goods

You have legal rights if goods are faulty or not as described. Contact us and we'll repair, replace or refund as the law requires. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

9. Liability

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms. We don't exclude liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

10. Complaints and law

If you're unhappy, write to us first — we'll respond within 5 working days. These terms are governed by Irish law and the Irish courts have jurisdiction. You can also contact the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission.
